FreeAgents is growing fast, and we need your help. We are looking for a few people to help out in managerial roles within the site. All positions are volunteer roles at this time, and you will have substantial influence over the direction of the site going into the future. Check it out -- you'll build valuable skills in internet marketing, social media, writing and publicizing!
Editors:
Get involved in the managerial aspects of the site -- the best way to promote the site to new users, what content we should feature and strategies for keeping existing users coming back to participate. Editors would discuss thoughts on what shape the site should take as we progress, and how best to make that happen.
Moderators:
Moderators take charge of discussions on the forum by bringing in new ideas and keeping a handle on the existing entries. Your job is to keep the conversation running smoothly by keeping tabs on new discussion content, helping out users that need assistance and connecting with the existing users.
Marketing/Publicity:
Want to learn about internet marketing and social media? Join a growing site and help attract and engage users! People on the marketing and publicity teams would develop strategies on how best to get new users to the site, and implement them. All efforts would be analyzed to determine and improve on the best ideas.
The organization for all positions will consist largely of bouncing emails back and forth among the team to figure the best way to keep FreeAgents useful and relevant to our users. The time commitment is flexible, and you can count on learning new skills (or applying your existing skills) to organization, business development, and internet media. Best of all, when you're in an interview and the question "What did you do with your time off" comes up, you can talk about how you helped build an internet community! We're also happy to provide recommendations or references when you need them!
